Otaku Expo Tanabata Festival brings the vibrant spirit of Japanese culture to SM North EDSA – The Annex Atrium. Inspired by the traditional Tanabata celebration, the event features a variety of engaging festival activities for fans and families alike. Attendees can join exciting contests and games, try their hand at paper crane folding, and take part in interactive booths that celebrate anime, cosplay, and all things otaku.
One of the highlights is the colorful Kimono Cosplay Parade, where participants showcase their creativity while donning traditional Japanese attire with an anime twist. Visitors are also invited to write heartfelt wishes and hang them on the iconic Tanabata Wish Tree, a symbol of hope and dreams.
