Event Details

Sandugo Festival 2026 takes over Tagbilaran City, Bohol from July 1 to 31, celebrating one of the most important moments in Philippine history. The word Sandugo means “one blood,” symbolizing the historic treaty of friendship and alliance between Datu Sikatuna and Spanish explorer Miguel López de Legazpi. Events happen throughout the month, with major highlights usually held on the third or fourth Sunday of July.

One of the biggest attractions is the vibrant street dancing competition, where schools, local groups, and government units perform colorful routines inspired by Boholano culture and history. Visitors can also watch the dramatic Sandugo reenactment, enjoy the popular Miss Bohol Sandugo pageant, and explore the agro industrial fair featuring local products, food, and trade exhibits.

The festival continues to attract tourists and welcome home Boholanos visiting from different parts of the world. If you plan to attend, booking flights and hotels early is a smart move since July gets busy. While in Bohol, you can also visit nearby attractions like the Blood Compact Monument, Chocolate Hills, Baclayon Church, and the Loboc River.
