Kasanggayahan Festival 2026 is Sorsogon’s biggest provincial celebration, bringing communities together to mark the province’s founding anniversary. The name “Kasanggayahan” comes from an old Bikol word associated with prosperity, abundance, and contentment, which reflects the spirit of the celebration. For 2026, Jollibee joins as an official partner, adding to the lineup of activities planned for residents and visitors.
Culture takes center stage through Pantomina sa Tinampo, the traditional Bicolano courtship dance performed along the streets, along with cultural showcases featuring contingents from Sorsogon’s municipalities such as Bulusan. Visitors can also check out the agri trade and local product exhibits, with displays of Sorsogon pili, local harvests, and crafts made by MSMEs. The celebration’s trade activities also connect to the Kasanggayahan GoConut Trade Fair held at Shangri La Plaza in Manila in September.
As evening comes, the festival shifts into a livelier mood with nightly concerts, parties, and grand fireworks displays at the Sorsogon Capitol and Sports grounds. One of the things that makes Kasanggayahan interesting for visitors is the mix of provincial history, Bikolano traditions, agriculture, and modern entertainment in one celebration. It is also a good time to discover Sorsogon’s local food and products while seeing different municipalities bring their own character to the festivities.
