Adivay Festival 2026 brings the communities of Benguet together in La Trinidad for a celebration of culture, agriculture, and local identity. The name Adivay comes from the Ibaloi word for “coming together” or “gathering in unity,” which captures the spirit of a festival involving all 13 municipalities. It also marks the founding anniversary of Benguet while giving local communities a chance to share their traditions, arts, products, and way of life.
One of the cultural highlights is the Grand Canao, a traditional community feast and thanksgiving ritual that brings people together through food, ceremony, and fellowship. Visitors can also explore the Agri Trade Fair, where the 13 towns showcase fresh produce, Benguet coffee, handmade crafts, and other local products. Mass performances of the traditional Bendian dance add another memorable part to the celebration, with dancers moving together in a display of Cordilleran heritage.
The festival also features the search for Mr. and Ms. Benguet, along with local sports competitions that bring communities together in a more spirited setting. For visitors, Adivay offers a chance to see how Benguet’s municipalities each contribute something distinct to the province while still sharing a strong sense of community. It is also a good time to discover Benguet’s agricultural side, from highland vegetables and strawberries to locally grown coffee, giving the festival a strong connection to the farms and producers behind the province’s well known products.
