Event Details
Kalimudan Festival 2026 runs from November 19 to 22 across the Province of Sultan Kudarat, bringing communities together for a celebration filled with culture, music, food, and entertainment. This year’s theme, “Come for the adventure. Stay for the magic,” reflects the festival’s effort to showcase Sultan Kudarat as a destination for both cultural experiences and local adventures. The celebration also highlights the province’s diverse communities and the traditions that continue to shape its identity.
Visitors can expect cultural showcases, traditional music, street dancing, and tribal showdown competitions featuring performers from different communities. The festival also takes a more modern turn through its bazaar activities, including the Kalimudan Flea Market, Matcha Fest, coffee pop ups, and carnival attractions. This mix gives the event a relaxed side for visitors who want to browse local finds, try different drinks and treats, or simply enjoy the festival atmosphere between the major cultural performances.
Music also has a special place in this year’s celebration with an official Kalimudan Festival soundtrack released under the direction of Governor Datu Pax Ali S. Mangudadatu, featuring singer Maan Chua and the Sultan Kudarat Choir. Beyond the main program, the festival is a chance to discover the province’s local food, crafts, music, and community stories, making it more than a series of stage performances. For travelers, Kalimudan can also serve as a starting point for exploring Sultan Kudarat’s landscapes and discovering places outside the usual tourist routes.
