Sinadya sa Halaran Festival 2026 fills Roxas City, Capiz with music, dancing, colorful displays, and Christmas season celebrations during the first week of December, traditionally from December 4 to 8. The festival brings together two local traditions, with Sinadya representing the joy and celebration of Roxas City while Halaran reflects the Capiznon spirit of thanksgiving and sharing. The festivities also coincide with the Feast of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, giving the celebration a strong religious side alongside its cultural and community activities.
Known for its location in the Seafood Capital of the Philippines, Roxas City puts its coastal character front and center during the festival. The Street Dancing Competition features performers in colorful costumes inspired by the provinceโs seafood and marine life, while the Fluvial Parade brings decorated boats along the Panay River for one of the celebrationโs most distinctive sights. Visitors can also look forward to the Parade of Lights, towering higantes, the Agri Aqua Trade Fair, and the Mutya sa Halaran pageant.
Beyond the big performances, Sinadya sa Halaran offers a chance to experience Capiz through its food, riverfront communities, local products, and warm holiday atmosphere. Seafood is naturally one of the stars, with Roxas Cityโs famous Baybay Beach seafood strip providing an easy stop for visitors looking to try fresh local catches after a day of festivities. The celebration traditionally builds toward a spectacular grand fireworks display, giving the festival a bright finale while the lights, boats, dancers, and giant puppets leave their own memorable mark on the city.
